Fire Warden Training

Service Description

Fire Warden Training is a two and a half hour course which advises participants on their duties as a Fire Warden and what actions they should take in the event of a fire emergency. This course also places an emphasis on fire prevention and in recognising fire hazards. All training is conducted via Zoom Video Conferencing with a FETAC (QQI) Level 6 qualified instructor. Course Content - Understanding the chemistry of fire - Best practises for fire prevention - Planning for a fire emergency - Understanding electrical safety - Duties of a fire warden - Emergency evacuation procedures - Using fire extinguishers Please note that this course takes place via Zoom so there is no practical element in this training. The instructor will guide you through all necessary steps in executing a fire evacuation within a premises. Certain procedures, including use of a fire extinguisher, will be demonstrated via Zoom. All courses are delivered by FETAC (QQI) Level 6 qualified instructors. Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded an SB Safety Fire Warden certificate.
