Service Description

SB Safety Abrasive Wheels Instructor Course is a one day course, designed to provide participants with the skills and confidence to deliver abrasive wheels instruction and training, in order to comply with the Abrasive Wheels Regulations 1982. Upon completion of the SB Safety Abrasive Wheels Instructor Course, participants will be able to: Instruct and train employees in the safe selection, setting and use of abrasive wheels Understand the legal aspects of Abrasive Wheels Regulations that relate to training Design, implement and evaluate internal company training sessions Course Content Legislation Accidents Types of abrasive wheels Information on discs/abrasive wheels Handling and storage of abrasive wheels Precautions against hazards Components of grinders Dressing and truing of wheels Structuring an Abrasive Wheels Training course Delivering an Abrasive Wheels Training course Assessing learners knowledge and skills Risk assessment All courses are delivered by FETAC (QQI) Level 6 qualified instructors. Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded an SB Safety Abrasive Wheels Instructor Certificate. All course notes, slides and exam sheets will be supplied on completion of the course.
